Can I purchase panels direct from you or must I go through a dealer?
We do not sell direct. We will help you find an Auralex dealer in your area.
Are these panels in stock? If not, what is the lead time?
The lead time for panels is 2 to 4 weeks.
What is the core of the SonicPrint acoustical panels?
Currently Fiberglass but our proprietary eco-friendly substrate ECO-Tech will be available soon.
Are the panels available in other sizes than the 3 on your website?
Yes! Custom sizes are available. Visit your local Auralex dealer or call us directly and we'll assist you through the process.
What is the thickness of the panel?
The standard panel has a 1 inch thickness. Custom thicknesses (up to 4”) are available. Visit your local Auralex dealer or call us directly and we'll assist you through the process.
What is the NRC of the panel?
From .85 to 1.00 depending on mounting flush or spaced off of the wall. NRC can vary slightly depending upon print density and the application of a scrim.
How is the image 'printed' on the fabric?
Images are printed using a proprietary printing process.
How will the panels perform in kitchens where they could be exposed to cleaners?
The panels will perform well in kitchens. Like any piece of art, if you spray it with a heavy cleaning solvent or other harsh chemical there is a good chance you’ll hurt the art work.
Will the images fade over time?
In normal, indoor light conditions, the panels will resist fading. If exposed to continuous, direct sunlight or outdoor conditions, over time, like all fabrics and art prints, they will fade.
Can the panels be cleaned?
Yes, the panels can be spot cleaned using a color-safe, mild detergent such as Woolite. We recommend spot testing on the back of the panel to test colorfastness of the fabric. Like all fabrics, if you spill a tough, stain-causing material on them, they may not come completely clean.
Can Auralex resurface my panels?
We will not be able to resurface a panel.
If I order one panel am I improving the acoustics of my room?
Any of our panels will improve the acoustics of your room. However, for the best results please fill out and submit a Personalized Room Analysis Form. This form can be found at www.auralex .com/pcf. An Application Specialist will help you find the best solution.
How do you become a SonicPrint Independent Artist?
Send a link or samples of your work to SonicPrint (click here). Our Marketing team will review your art to see if it is appropriate for SonicPrint. We will contact you whether we can or can not use your art.
Sizing requirements?
Images should be saved at 150 dpi (Dots Per Inch) to scale. 300 dpi images are a higher resolution but not necessary as long as the image is to scale.
To SCALE means actual size: example: 2 foot by 2 foot (2’x2’) = 24 inches by 24 inches (Do not do this: 2 foot by 2 foot = 2 inches by 2 inches---When we scale it up to 24 inches the image will be pixalized and will not reproduce well.)
